The Louvre, then out to Versailles

No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Louvre, so that's what I did, mainly to see the Impressionist paintings.  They were as overwhelming as the Mona Lisa was under.
This was followed by a trip out to Versailles, which was to be the first of three I would do over the next 20 years.  As I was on a budget I did not pay to go into the palace, but toured the grounds instead.  They were awesome enough on their own.  I left the palace viewing until 2016.
