London Day One

On Saturday 6th July after watching the sun go down and come up in a matter of hours we arrived at Gatwick Airport, London. Unfortunately Myra's suitcase did not arrive at the same time, so we spent an hour or so signing papers, hoping it would turn up at our hotel later.
We then took a train to Victoria Station and the Tube to Earl's Court, followed by a taxi to London West hotel. It was raining, so not good weather to be out and about, so we waited an hour in the lobby while our rooms were prepared.  At around noon we could go in, so I got changed and went out to book a ticket on the bus to Paris in two days' time, while Jean and Myra had a rest.  They later went shopping in Kensington.
