On way to Dublin through Galway and over a limestone desert. Gypsies in caravans on side of roads. Tara china factory, shop and restaurant. Galway cathedral restored by money from Boston in 1965-70. There is a public park in Galway sponsored by JFK. Drove through the Spanish settlement and round by the dock and saw lots of ships.
McCormick monument at Altone, the centre of Ireland. A drive around Dublin to our hotel at Bray. Arrived at 4pm. Dressed and went to a four course dinner and show at Dury's hotel. A lovely meal and show. Hal Roach was the star of the show. Singer and dancing was super. Home to bed.
