Tuesday 15th July

Up very early.  Call at 5.45am.  Big day ahead.  Back to the ferry at Dublin to catch ferry from Dublin to Hollyhead.  Three hours to cross the Irish Sea which was a smooth crossing.  In Wales we had to unload all our luggage from the bus, cart it or wheel it around quite a way to join the bus.  Some of the private cars were having their luggage searched.  But no-one on the bus was delayed.  Not asked for our passports either.  Seemed a useless exercise to us.
From Hollyhead we are on our way to Blackpool.  Blackpool is a terrific fun area.  Most wonderful hotels all along the beach area.  Wonderful Disneyland scenes on all the lamp posts.  Would have liked to stay longer there. The Norbreck Castle Hotel where we stayed was  on the water's edge and a huge place.  Beaut food and beaut rooms.  Jean rang Bernie's cousin and they lived one tram stop away and five minute's walk so we went to their place.  George met us at the tram stop and we had a lovely evening.  Home to bed.
