A taxi to International Coach depot Victoria and waited around for our bus. Left Victoria about 10.30am and on to Dover. The trip took about three hours. Then we had a hovercraft ride to Calais over the English channel. The trip took half and hour. Picked up our luggage and went through customs. Over to our bus. We had to load our own luggage on to the bus.
On our way to Paris, about a five hour trip. The crops were great for miles on each side of the road through France. Wheat, oats, turnips, corn. Wonderful crops.
Arrived to Paris and the bus driver just pulled into the middle of a street and opened up under the bus and went into the pub. Collected our luggage but no Donna. With another Australian couple we walked to a corner and could see the depot from there where the bus should have taken us. Still no Donna. We ended up taking a taxi to the address Donna had given Jean. Arrived at the hotel, still no Donna. Went into our room and looked out the window for ages watching for Donna. Thrilled when she arrived.
Got another room for myself as the beds were quite small and only two three quarter beds.
